Rental Terms & Conditions

These Rental Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between the customer ("you") and Amalfi Coast Rent, a registered brand of VANTO S.R.L., with respect to the rental of cars and scooters via [www.amalficoastrent.it] (the "Site").

By submitting a booking request through the Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Eligibility and Driver Requirements

To rent a vehicle, you must:

Be at least 18 years old (scooter) or 21 years old (car)
Hold a valid driver’s license suitable for the selected vehicle category
Present a valid ID or passport

International customers may be required to present an International Driving Permit (IDP) depending on their country of origin.

3. Booking Process and Payment

Booking requests submitted via the Site are subject to confirmation by our team.
No deposit is required at the time of booking.
No payment is charged online. All payments are processed on-site at the time of vehicle pickup.
Accepted methods: cash or major credit/debit cards.

4. Fuel Policy

All vehicles are rented with a full tank of fuel and must be returned in the same condition (Full to Full policy).
Failure to return the vehicle with a full tank will result in a refueling charge based on local rates, plus a service fee.

5. Insurance and Liability

Basic insurance coverage is included, in accordance with Italian law. However:

You are financially responsible for any damage, theft, loss or third-party injury in which you are partially or fully involved.
You agree to take reasonable care of the rented vehicle.
You must inform us immediately in case of accidents, theft or damages.
You may be required to complete a damage report.

Note: Optional full coverage insurance (if available) may reduce your liability but does not exempt you in case of gross negligence or violations.

6. Vehicle Use Restrictions

You agree to:

Use the vehicle only within Italian territory unless expressly authorized in writing
Not use the vehicle for racing, illegal purposes, towing, or sub-rental
Not allow unauthorized drivers to operate the vehicle

Amalfi Coast Rent reserves the right to terminate the rental without refund in case of misuse or breach of these conditions.

7. Accidents and Damage

In the event of an accident:

Immediately contact emergency services if necessary
Notify Amalfi Coast Rent as soon as possible
Provide a detailed written report and, if possible, photographic documentation
You are responsible for any fines or penalties resulting from your conduct during the rental period

8. Cancellations and No-Shows

Cancellations are free if made at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time.
Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a penalty fee of up to 50% of the rental value, at our discretion.

9. Return of Vehicle

The vehicle must be returned on the agreed date and time. Delays may result in additional charges.
Failure to return the vehicle without notice may be reported as unauthorized use or theft.

10. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Complying with traffic and safety regulations
Returning the vehicle in the same condition received
Paying for any fines, tolls, or traffic violations during the rental period
Ensuring that personal items are removed at the end of the rental

11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Rental Terms are governed by the laws of Italy.
Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Aosta (Italy), without prejudice to rights you may hold under EU consumer protection law.
